Here's a picture of the '68 at Bowling Green... in second gear... didn't touch down till I slid into high... a truly great ride.... Hayes Hood was announcing and had just said... "now here's a car that can stand up and be counted -- Holy S---!" Back then we weren't really carrying the wheels much... no wheelie bars... you always took a chance of having to 'set it down' which I did twice... the car hated that... usually blew the front tires and crashed the oil pan. Bagwell set the '65 down so hard at Bristol we had to replace the front clip, and made him miss the World Finals at Ontario. -- Terry Earwood
