Comment		The nearest car is Joe Weis's hemi-powered Dodge Dart. The far car is John Skitsmas's hemi-powered Mercury Cougar. Joe Weis (Jumping Joe) is the father of current NHRA Top Fuel driver Scott Weis. This is from September 20, 1970 at Southeastern International Dragway. This was an injected fuel funny car show (A/FC - Tom 'Smoker' Smith's East Coast Fuel Funny Car Circuit). Funny cars only ran 1000 ft. at Dallas due to the short shut-off area. Jumping Joe won with a 7.30. Thanks to David Burlington for helping with this information. May 2002 -- Updated this photo to spell 'John Skitsmas' correctly. May 2002 -- The car John Skitsmas is driving is the ex-Wayne Gapp, rainbow painted, Super Cat NASCAR Ultra Stock car. It was a real contender on the NASCAR drag racing circuit in '67. -- Joel F.
