Customizing News and Headlines Appearance

If you want to change the appearance of our news and/or headlines on your site, you can do so by modifying the Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) attributes. This is beyond our level of support, but you can learn more at Feedburner.com. We use their service to help syndicate our news and, specifically, their BuzzBoost service to provide you the ability to show our headlines and/or full news on your site.

Here is information on how to Customize BuzzBoost's Appearance. Using the information you'll find here, you can change the style of the text's appearance on your site to match your design.

What do all those icons mean?

The orange icon with XML indicates an RSS feed for this site funneled through Feedburner.com so that it is readable by all RSS readers and most browsers. To subscribe to this feed in your RSS reader, right-click on the orange XML button (control+click for Mac users). Then, select Copy Shortcut ("Copy Link to Clipboard" for Macs) and then paste that URL into your RSS reader.

The third represents how many people have subscribed to this RSS feed (not how many are reading it here on this page or on the blog itself).

The fourth, and largest, shows the last five headlines from the blog -- click on it and go directly to the blog. You can easily syndicate these headlines on your site by copying the link code, shown below, and putting it on your site or in your blog. Every time I update the blog, the graphic will update as well -- automatically. I frequently include this graphic in my signature line of forums and discussion groups that allow graphics.
