Another one of those - the title says it all, but history buffs
will get a kick out of the starter's stand (old wooden drink boxes to hold
starter flags : ) in center of track. Fans were allowed to be close at
actions. My safety equipment was an old seat belt and flight helmet from the
local Army Surplus Store. - Wore a pair of white - painters coveralls for I
thought they looked cool!
The little roadster had no starter, so the family 1956 Pontiac was used to push start it and also to tow the trailer.
Sam and Dot WIlkins were neat and very understanding parents. My classmates told me so many times!
