This shot of Clare Sanders driving the Jungle Jim Liberman team car was taken March 2, 1969. Clare had won Funny Car Eliminator at the '69 NHRA Winternationals in this car. Note the people in the trees! This was the last day that Yellow River was open - Huston Platt had the tragic accident later that day.
