Join The Team -- For The Chance of a Lifetime

NitroGeezers.com is starting a drive to raise the funds to bring some of the great cars from the History of Drag Racing to The National Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Ky in 2004. The photos in this album were taken at the 2003 National Hot Rod Reunion by Fred Simmons and David Dilbeck.

We want to bring back the fabulous Winged Express with Mousie Marcellus and Crew. Mousie is one of the true legends of the sport and a great ambassador for the history of Drag racing. The Winged Express is one of the most legendary cars in the Nostalgia Movement and always puts on a great show for the fans.

We also want to get the man and car that started the 60's era Dragster Restoration trend that is going strong today, and that is Bill Pitts and the beautiful Magicar. Bill has been instrumental in the movement to bring back the slingshot dragsters from the early years of Drag Racing and is truly dedicated to preserving the history of the sport

For the Gasser fans we want to bring the AA/GS duo of Ken Kull's Hill Bros. Red Baron and Ken's fantastic new Red Baron 2. Ken has dedicated himself to the period correct gassers of the Gasser Wars era.

To make this a little more interesting this time we have a special treat in store for the person that make the largest single donation to the fund for either car.

You will get to sit in the car for a full NITRO fire-up. That's right, you will be behind the wheel of one of these Fire Breathing pieces of Drag Racing History.

Also for the first 2 people who donate as much as $200 you will receive a beautiful 20" X 30" autographed poster of the car you chose to donate to. And there will be other prizes drawn from the names of all that donate

There are certain requirements* that must be meet and the car owners have the Right of Refusal if you don't have the proper respect for such an honor. But all that takes is a little Common Sense

Pledges will be posted weekly on www.nitrogeezers.com and PLEASE don't pledge if you don't intend to follow through because not only will the name of the people that pledge be on the website, but anyone that don't come through will be put on the website as well. No dollar amounts will be posted.

Just e-mail your name, address and phone number with the amount you can afford to send to the e-mail addresses above and if sufficient money is pledged you will be instructed to send it direct to the car owners starting March 1, 2004

* Requirements to be eligible to be in the seat of any car for a fire up:

You must be at least 18 years of age and sign a waiver
For the Magicar you must be between 5'6" and 6'’ tall and of slight to medium build due to the way the car is built.
You must meet with the owner at the event prior to the fire-up to go over what is expected of you and to show you can do as you are instructed
Owners reserve the Right of Refusal to anyone deemed unacceptable
Time of doing Fire-up at owners discretion
