EVENT: AMA / Prostar Star Racing Nationals at Atlanta Dragway

NOTES:

Fans attending this weekend's event were treated to more for their money. Because the Gainesville event was rained out a few weeks ago, eliminations were completed Friday for this event. Saturday featured more qualifying for the big Sunday Race. Larry Spiderman McBride took the Top Fuel Bike win against the Fire and Ice entry of Ron Webb. Although a Steve Johnson won Super Gas, this was a first time winner, not the colorful, well known Pro Stock Bike racer Steve Johnson. Atlanta Dragway racer Debbie Knebel did well in Street ET, finishing runner up. Another Atlanta Dragway regular, Jay Rhyne, went deep into the Pro ET rounds.
